The redevelopment of Mokaba Café and neighbouring tenancies at Whangārei's Town Basin, delivered with tenants and the public kept safe throughout.
Whangārei District Council engaged ARCO early to coordinate the full redevelopment of Mokaba Café, which has served customers at the Town Basin since the early 2000s, working alongside the café's directors. One team handled feasibility, design, project management and construction, with a clear priority: no risk to neighbouring tenants or the public while a significant upgrade went on around them.
The work included a new commercial kitchen, a re-roof and exterior upgrade to suit the new layout, and a complete interior fitout covering electrical, heating, cooling and ventilation, suspended ceilings, floor coverings and painting. It's another Town Basin redevelopment ARCO has delivered in partnership with the council.
