LB Collision Repairs, Port Nikau

Whangārei, New Zealand
Floor Area: 2,800m²

A purpose-built collision repair facility at Port Nikau, Whangārei, doubling LB Collision Repairs' capacity as it moved into commercial vehicle repairs.

LB Collision Repairs, a gold-rated repairer for most major insurers, was expanding into commercial vehicle collision repairs and needed far more space. ARCO worked with Carl and his team from the very start, handling feasibility, design, project management and construction as one team.

Early work focused on the site's geotechnical conditions, with a dedicated feasibility study and buildability review. The finished steel portal-framed building has a 2,100m² warehouse and workshop, 400m² of offices and amenities, a 250m² parts bay and a 2,800m² reinforced concrete yard. It was delivered on programme, under budget and to the brief set at the start, giving the business twice its previous capacity.

“We engaged ARCO Group to design, build & fit out our new purpose-built Collision Repair facility in Whangārei, managing the complete project from design through to construction. This project was delivered during the COVID19 lockdowns, alert level changes, increased costs & the flow on affect of the supply chain issues. ARCO Group managed to mitigate any of the potential cost increases, whilst maintaining the project budget & deliverables during construction. I would not hesitate in recommending ARCO Group for your next construction project. I am extremely proud of what ARCO Group has accomplished.”

– Carl Henty (Director, LB Collision Repairs)
