Kerikeri, New Zealand
Floor Area: 5,800m²
A new Mitre 10 store in Kerikeri, built in 32 weeks and opened on the date set at the start of the project.
ARCO won the Mitre 10 Kerikeri contract through a traditional tender, then project managed, programmed and built the store in 32 weeks. It opened on the date set at the start of the project, so the client's investment started returning exactly as planned.
It's one of four Mitre 10 projects ARCO has delivered, two new builds and two refurbishments, and that experience showed. The scope ran from bulk filling and compaction, stormwater attenuation and a hotmix carpark through to a structural steel and timber-framed building with 3,000m² of retail, a 1,300m² garden centre, a 1,400m² trade area and a fitted-out Columbus Coffee.
