ARCO built the new Mitre 10 Mega Whangārei in 23 weeks, ahead of the timeframe the client set, so the store started earning a return sooner than expected.
Built to Mitre 10's specifications throughout, the store combines a structural steel portal frame, precast concrete panels and beams, and long-run roofing and cladding. Inside are 4,200m² of retail space, a 2,000m² drive-through area, a 1,300m² garden centre, a 125m² Columbus Coffee and 300m² of offices upstairs, with siteworks and the carpark completing the job.
